Out this week is a paperback edition of Marc Tyler Nobleman’s “Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman.”
First released in 2008, the book has been lauded by … well, pretty much everyone who read it. The new version, along with more-pliable cover, also will have a few other minor tweaks for accuracy’s sake.
Miss out on the hardcover version? Be sure to get this one. And while it’s not about Jerry Siegel or Joe Shuster, be sure not to miss Nobleman’s “Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman,” a great companion — or stand alone — book, shining the spotlight on the too-often forgotten Bill Finger.
If you want to hear more about the background of “Boys of Steel” and how it came together, give a listen to the chat I had with Marc Tyler Nobleman in June 2012 as part of The Thrilling Adventures of Superman.
