Welcome to episode 74 of The Thrilling Adventures of Superman. The show’s mission is to explore the history and development of the Superman in his formative years by chronicling the Man of Steel’s Golden Age adventures in comics, radio and film.
Michael pauses for another Fifth Week installment this episode and looks back at something he missed in earlier episodes of the show. That’s right, folks. He makes mistakes, too. In any event, Michael looks back at text stories contained in the third and fourth issues of SUPERMAN… and explores their connection to Superman, as well as that of their credited author, Hugh Langley.
QUOTABLE:
“George Rankin could have doffed his laboratory robe and walked out into the world a billionaire. Things other than money interested Rankin.”
