Hi Michael,
Great first episode…and a great idea for a podcast! I’m looking forward to journeying through the 100s of issues of WF along with you. So much good stuff, and some whacky stuff (Super Sons, anyone?).
That first story is a definite classic, and one I have read many times over the years, beginning with a copy of WF #179, purchased at a flea market when I was 4 or 5 years old, about 10 years after it’s publication! That comic cemented my love for Superman/Batman team-ups, and I have shared those stories with my children as well.
In that vein, I’d love to hear your take on WF#271, where Roy Thomas courageously tackles ALL the origins of the Superman/Batman team, and makes them all fit together (as best he could, anyway), while also telling an entertaining yarn, and bringing in my beloved Earth 2 heroes.
Speaking of which, someone at DC forgot Superman and Batman HAD met in a few issues of All-Star Comics beforehand! Of course we now know we were on Earth 1 in this tale, but that’s retroactive hindsight!
Again, good luck on the podcast, and I look forward to much more!

Hey, Chris! Thanks for the feedback; glad you enjoyed the debut. Super-Sons definitely are on the horizon. Look an episode on the first story in early spring!
