It seems odd that Hamilton did just phone in these heroes. You’d think Weisinger would have looked at this as another chance to plant some seeds worth sowing, much like the Legion and other concepts throughout his run as Super-editor.
Loved the bit from “The Adventures of Superman” where Supes leaves that crooked couple on the arctic mountain. I never get tired of being reminded of that one. It’s such a stark contrast to Superman’s wholesome image (well, the one he used ot have, anyway).
