“Teen Titan, uh, imagine if Joe Shuster had been channeling the future spirit of Rob Liefeld when he was designing Superman’s costume.”

Oh dear lord, I have not laughed and cried so much. I’m telling my (fellow Tangent lovers) friends about this line, it’s GOLD.

Also, in regards to the character John Keel: I have no recollection whatsoever of this character’s name in the DCU either BUT I think he might be one of the few original Tangent characters –and I’ve also always thought that his name is a bit of a “joke.” A dark one, considering but still one. In the first Joker comic when she’s looking up information about him at her hideout, his full name is stated as “Officer John A. Keel.” John is a pretty common first name, but if you think about the “A. Keel” phonetically, you get…a kill. (If you pronounce Keel the same way as ‘Silence I Keel You’ thing from a few years back, but eh.)

Couple that with the backstory he has and well, the symbolism behind his existence/name might make a little bit more sense. /takes off fancy hat and monocle/ It might be a stretch at the same time but I thought I’d put that out there 😀
