Oh man, I’m already feeling empty at the thought of this podcast ending! 🙁 Good things must always come to an end, but this podcast was a little light (hah!) in the usually forgotten-in-a-basement Tangent Comics media, official or fan-produced, and it made me happy the minute I found it. It was so awesome to find two people who wanted to talk about one of my favorite lines ever, and who were open-minded and critical without being unnecessarily negative (eg “IT SUCKS!” without reasoning). It made for entertaining listening and I’m going to miss it.

And you know, all the jokes done at Batman’s expense as well ♥ (Not sarcasm, in case tone was unclear!)

For Sir William’s Batman armor, the way it was explained in the original comic is that he controlled the armor but his own soul was in the castle, stuck as punishment remember? So while in Reign, it’s written as if Sir William died, technically speaking you could go either way: either he really died since this extremely selfless act was enough to give his soul peace at last in the afterlife OR the vessel in the armor “died” because Sir William just couldn’t manifest enough power, but he himself is still alive and still stuck in Castle Bat. This is one of the little nagging holes the story had, but at the same time these two interpretations imo ring true however you wish to read the scene.

Also, Jamal Igle should have been the main single artist. Comic companies are so inconsistent nowadays that for some reason they are never able to KEEP ONE ARTIST on a maxi-series anymore. Maybe it’s the dust from that money they “get” from awful titles that’s addled their brains, I don’t know.
